Geelong Cats v North Melbourne Kangaroos, West Coast Eagles v Richmond Tigers scores, results, fixtures, teams, tips, games, how to watch

Now we even review when the ball crosses the back line. Surely this is not necessary?

Midway through the third quarter at GMHBA Stadium, the goal judge and center referee called for a review that stopped the game for what seemed like an eternity.

In the end, the scoreboard review referee did not have enough evidence to overturn the goal referee's decision, which was that the ball had crossed the back line and it was a point.

By the time the Kangaroos were able to get the ball back into play, the Cats had restarted beautifully.

The third quarter itself was a dull affair.

Geelong have the game in the bag and basically made the moves, extending their 51-point half-time lead to 10 goals.

Incredibly, kangaroos lead the ranks 282-269, but that's because cats are more determined and direct. Geelong leads the inside 50 count 47 to 33, and the center 13-4.
