Krystyna Pyszkova from the Czech Republic Crowned Miss World 2024 Winner


Krystyna Pyszková, hailing from the Czech Republic, emerged as the crowned Miss World 2024 during a splendid event held in Mumbai, India, on March 9, 2024. This victory marked the second time that a representative from the Czech Republic claimed the prestigious title, following in the footsteps of Tatana Kucharova in 2006.

Fluent in English, Polish, Slovak, and German, Pyszková, a model and law student specializing in business administration, is also the founder of the Krystyna Pyszko Foundation, dedicated to promoting sustainable development through education.

Her philanthropic endeavors include establishing an English school for underprivileged children in Tanzania, showcasing her commitment to making a positive impact on the world. Pyszková’s passion for music and art is evident through her nine-year tenure at an art academy, where she skillfully played the transverse flute and the violin.

The Miss World 2024 pageant, held in Mumbai, served as a significant platform to showcase India’s rich cultural heritage to a global audience. The event was skillfully hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar and former Miss World Megan Young, featuring performances by Shaan, Tony Kakkar, and Neha Kakkar.

The distinguished panel of judges included notable personalities such as film producer Sajid Nadiadwala, actors Kriti Sanon and Pooja Hegde, former cricketer Harbhajan Singh, news personality Rajat Sharma, social worker Amruta Fadnavis, Vineet Jain, MD of Bennett, Coleman & Co. Limited, Julia Morley, Chairperson and CEO of the Miss World Organization, Jamil Saidi, Strategic Partner & Host – Miss World India, and three former Miss Worlds, including India’s Manushi Chhillar.

Krystyna Pyszková’s victory was celebrated with a grand ceremony at the Jio World Convention Center, where she received the crown from the reigning Miss World, Karolina Bielawska of Poland. The event drew luminaries from the showbiz world, including Reliance Foundation Chairperson Nita Mukesh Ambani, Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui, and actress Rubina Dilaik. The official announcement of Pyszková’s win was made on the Miss World Instagram account, welcoming her into the Miss World family and extending heartfelt congratulations.

In addition to claiming the Miss World title, Pyszková received the Best Fashion Designer Award – Europe, triumphing over contestants from India, Trinidad and Tobago, and Botswana. The first runner-up was Yasmina Zaytoun from Lebanon. This victory not only symbolized a remarkable achievement for Pyszková personally but also represented a significant milestone for the Czech Republic, marking the second time a representative from the country secured the Miss World title.
