For Dave Portnoythere's a new set of rules: Wear sunscreen.
The founder of Barstool Sports shared that he was diagnosed with skin cancer.
“I had cancer. I beat it,” the 47-year-old captioned a June 19 X video, in which he tells a co-worker. Rico Bosco. “He wasn't the serious type thank God. I can't tell if Bosco thinks cancer is funny or not.”
When Bosco tells the tycoon that he didn't know Portnoy had cancer, Portnoy, who had a bandage on his neck covering his 10 stitches, explains, “I don't make a big deal out of it. I have a scar that does everything . by my neck, it looks like Frankenstein… I'll make it.”
Portnoy later elaborated on his diagnosis, noting that he attributed it to being in the sun without proper protection.
“It's hard to complain,” she explained on her June 19 episode BFFs podcast “I lay in the sun. It was a mole. I'm starting to get over it, so I went to the doctor and did something to my skin. They scraped it off and one of them came back cancerous.”
