The second part of GLORY`s two-day celebration event is set to feature two significant title bouts.
Scheduled for June 14th as part of GLORY`s two-day celebration of its 100th numbered event, the card will now include a total of three championship fights, showcasing top-tier talent. In addition to a previously announced heavyweight bout, GLORY has revealed two major title rematches via social media, with belts on the line.
The first of these rematches sees GLORY middleweight champion Donovan Wisse defend his belt against leading contender Michael Boapeah. Wisse aims to replicate his previous victory in this fight, which takes place nearly two years after their initial meeting. The champion boasts an impressive eleven-fight winning streak dating back to 2018. Boapeah, on the other hand, has earned this title shot with consecutive finishes (both at light heavyweight) and three decision wins since their last encounter.
In a matchup pitting a breakthrough star against elite talent, Miguel Trindade seeks redemption against Petchpanomrung.
Their last meeting was just a few months prior in the GLORY x RISE Featherweight Grand Prix final, where Petchpanomrung secured a decision victory. Despite the loss, Trindade quickly rebounded with a knockout win over YA-MAN in a 4oz gloves bout, proving himself ready for another title challenge.
Given the upcoming large 24-man Featherweight Grand Prix, another collaboration between GLORY and RISE, it`s highly probable that these two fighters will cross paths again soon. Therefore, a victory in this rematch would be crucial, allowing the winner to enter the tournament as the reigning GLORY Champion.
