Ahead of the 2024 ESPYs on July 11, the full list of nominees has been released. And among the award winners are some of the most talked about players, among them Simone Biles, Caitlin Clark i Patrick Mahomes.
The next ceremony, which will be in charge of the tennis legend Serena Williamswill honor the athletes in various categories such as Best Sportsman for both men and women, Best Breakthrough Sportsman, Best Record Performance, Best Comeback Performance and more.
And while Simone, Caitlin and Patrick are among the previous winners who could add another trophy to their shelves, the first-time nominees include the reigning US Open title holder. Coco Gauff— who leads this year's nominations with two nominations for Best Athlete and Best Tennis Player — and USC basketball player Juju Watkins.
Another highlight from this year's ESPYs? Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick and Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Shohei Ohtani they are back to the best athlete, men's sports. Should one of them win, it could possibly tie lebron james, Lance Armstrong i Tiger Woods as the only athletes who have won the category several times.
