News that living your truth is “the most freeing and liberating feeling in the entire world,” the reality star promises Jesse Sullivan know it can be too much for some to handle. “If I had come out as trans maybe 10 years ago, I honestly don't think I would have gotten the hate I have now,” the TikTok personality said. “I think this is a very difficult time to be specifically transgender.”

That's why, he continued, “I can't really say to a young person, 'You need to come to your parents.' I don't think it's safe to say that, I think we live in a world where that could end badly.”

Instead, the father explained to a 15-year-old Arlo, recommends navigating another universe. “We live in a world where you can literally find a community on your phone, your laptop or your iPad. And that's how I got started,” he noted. “There are communities everywhere and there are people who will help you and love you. And that's going to be the best way out if you don't feel like you have a safe space.”
