CMF Watch Pro 2 Reportedly Spotted on BIS Site, Suggesting Imminent India Launch

Technology

The CMF Watch Pro 2 is likely to launch later this year as a successor to the CMF Watch Pro, which was unveiled in September 2023. The alleged smartwatch has yet to be officially announced, but reports suggest it could be coming on the markets soon. The moniker hasn't been confirmed either, but a new CMF model was recently spotted on a certification site and is expected to be the Watch Pro 2. It's likely to come with updates over the CMF Watch Pro.

According to a report by 91Mobiles, a smartwatch with model number D398 was spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website. It is speculated to be the CMF Watch Pro 2. No other details about the smartwatch have been revealed in the listing. However, the BIS certification suggests an imminent launch in India.

Notably, the existing CMF Watch Pro was listed in BIS under the model number D395. The similarity in the numbering indicates that the next smart wearable will be the successor of this first model. However, readers are advised to take the information with a grain of salt, especially regarding the nickname. Earlier this year, Nothing changed the naming standards for its audio products. Since CMF is a sub-brand of Nothing, it will come as no surprise that it takes the same approach to its catalog items.

Regardless of the moniker, the successor to the CMF Watch Pro is likely to come with updates. You can expect it to get a bigger screen or better battery life, among other improvements. CMF by Nothing's upcoming smartwatch may also see AI-based integrations, a similar upgrade to what its existing audio products are getting. We'll likely learn more about the watch, either officially or through leaks and more listings, in the coming weeks.

The CMF Watch Pro is currently available in India at Rs. 3,999 and comes with a 1.96-inch square AMOLED display, a 340mAh battery that is said to offer up to 13 days of battery life, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance .
