Conor McGregor`s relationship with Dana White remains solid, even four years after his last fight. The former two-division UFC champion has not competed since suffering a leg break during his trilogy bout against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021.
Since that time, Conor McGregor has frequently mentioned his potential return to the Octagon, though it has yet to happen.
`Notorious` and Dana White still appear to be on good terms, despite the fact that they haven`t always agreed on everything during the Irishman`s long period away from competition.
Conor McGregor sends heartwarming message to Dana White
Recent discussions about McGregor`s potential UFC comeback have become less frequent over the past few months.
White is currently focusing on a venture into boxing, while the UFC superstar is enjoying time with his family.
Recently, McGregor and his children sent a message to the UFC boss while on their latest holiday.
“What’s up, Uncle Dana?” McGregor’s young sons asked in a video shared on the MMA legend’s Instagram page.
McGregor added with a laugh: “Brother, we love you to bits.
“Go on, Dana. Go on, the Dana feller.
“The McGregors are only warming up.
“Up, Dana. Up the UFC. Let’s go, baby!”
McGregor shared the video on his Instagram story, tagging the UFC, White, and adding ‘#loyalty’.
White subsequently reposted the touching footage to his 10.5 million Instagram followers.
Dana White’s latest update on Conor McGregor
White began 2025 by stating that it would be the year McGregor would finally fight again.
However, at the midpoint of the year, a return to the Octagon looks increasingly unlikely in the near future.
Aside from briefly calling out Michael Chandler after his unexpected loss at UFC 314 in April, McGregor has been unusually quiet about his highly anticipated comeback.
In May, White himself suggested that a fight isn`t currently planned.
“He’s not fighting anytime soon,” the UFC mogul said when asked about McGregor’s next fight.
White added: “I haven’t talked to him in a minute, but yeah, I don’t know.”
