David Allen Considering Potential Fight Against Former World Champion Joseph Parker

British heavyweight David Allen has received an offer for a potential fight against former world champion Joseph Parker.

Allen, who represents Doncaster, confirmed to media that he was asked if he`d be interested in facing the New Zealander, a former WBO titleholder (2016-2018).

Allen (record 24-7-2, 19 KOs) is weighing his options after an impressive fifth-round knockout victory over Johnny Fisher in their May rematch.

In their first bout last December, Fisher secured a controversial points win over the 33-year-old Allen.

A fight against Parker (record 36-3, 24 KOs) would be a significant step up in class for Allen. Parker is set to return to the ring in September following victories over Martin Bakole, Zhilei Zhang, and Deontay Wilder.

Another possible option for Allen remains a potential British title fight against Jeamie Tshikeva, who controversially lost to David Adeleye last April.

Parker holds the WBO interim title, and there`s a question mark over whether he`d be allowed to defend his belt against Allen, who is not currently in the WBO rankings. However, Fisher, whom Allen recently defeated, was in the top 15.

Derek Chisora, ranked No. 7 by the WBO, is also mentioned as a potential opponent for Parker.

The New Zealander has been installed as the WBO mandatory challenger for the winner of the undisputed world title fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium on July 19.

Promotional company Queensberry, which represents Parker, declined to comment when contacted by media.
