‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Trailer — Things Get Even Weirder

Hold on to your chimichangas, folks, because the new trailer for Deadpool and Wolverine Karate just hit the internet, and it's as crazy as Ryan Reynolds in a Wrexham match. Reynolds and Hugh Jackman they're slicing and dicing everything that moves and, yes, if we're being honest, the movie looks gloriously insane. First off, yes, the award for most dramatic debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe definitely goes to Reynolds and Jackman, but as the trailer suggests, they have some competition.

The trailer focuses on Wolverine and gives us some added context on how we find him. This Wolverine, it seems, let his world down and this has left him bewildered. So it's up to Wade Wilson to turn his pout face down. We also see the first action shots of Cassandra Nova, the villain played by Emma Corrinand we even see the portals most associated with Doctor Strange at the end of the trailer, which most people wouldn't have expected.

Who else is in 'Deadpool & Wolverine'?

Obviously, the headline news is Karan Soni He's back as Dopinder, the world's most beloved mutant taxi driver, because who else is going to drive Wade while he's too busy breaking the fourth wall? Morena Baccarin also returns as Vanessa, Deadpool's fiancee who, despite kicking the bucket at first Deadpool 2, it seems to have thawed from the afterlife. Because in the Deadpool universe, death is just a minor plot inconvenience, right? The trailer also features some old friends from the X-Force lineup, incl Lewis Tan's Shutterstar and Rob Delaney's Peter, the mustachioed guy who basically stole the show without any superpowers, because sometimes, enthusiasm is all you need.

Month, Succession standout Matthew Macfadyen is trading in his boardroom antics for real action as TVA agent Paradox. This might be the only time you see Tom Wambsgans trading corporate sabotage for timeline sabotage. As if that weren't enough, the teenage duo brimming with power Brianna Hildebrand Negasonic Teenage Warhead and by Shioli Kutsuna Yukio is back. They're probably the only characters capable of making sure Deadpool doesn't accidentally blow up the world while trying to save it, while Emma Corrin will try to ruin everyone's day as the villain, Cassandra Nova.

The trailer explains everything that makes Deadpool and Wolverine the duo you can't help but love: explosive fights, sharp banter, and more Easter eggs than a bunny convention. With his first appearance in MCU scheduled to unleash mayhem in theaters on July 26, 2024, Deadpool and Wolverine is shaping up to be the buddy movie that could dethrone any summer blockbuster.
