Donald Trump has accused Fox News reporter Jessica Tarlov of reporting "blatant lies" hours after criticizing the former president on air.
In a factual social article, Trump accused Tarlov, the host of Fox News' "The Five ," of having a "divisive and uncompromising" voice when reviewing the network's weekly show.
The attack on Tarlov, who has been a more liberal and dissenting voice in conservative newsletters, criticized in Thursday's edition of The Five what the former president actually said about Trump's hoarding of secret ads at his Mar-a-resort. Lake. He is personally responsible for 30 percent of the current national debt.
The actual figure ranges from as low as 20 percent, depending on how and when total debt is measured.
“I like all five on Fox News, except for the crazy Jessica Tarlov, I especially like the anchors,” Trump said.
“Your facts are patently wrong, your presentation is terrible, and I'm sorry, your voice is loud and intolerable. Juan Williams was terrible, but better than him. I know the show is doing well, but thanks to Jessica."
"I find it impossible to take it seriously and post this 'review' because it's important to identify fake news and fake people.
The criticism came after Tarlov got into a heated dispute with The Fifth author Jenny Pirro over the release of classified material at Trump's Florida resort and President Joe Biden's Delaware home.
Tarlov noted that one of the main differences between the two investigations is the risk of Trump revealing top-secret documents because he often hosts parties and events at the Florida estate.
“Mar-a-Lago is a place where people have fun. There are parties every night, and it was a reason to worry about how they would be saved," Tarlov said.
“I understand that Hunter Biden is a big partier, but he is not the same. President Trump always wears a tuxedo to entertain a group of foreigners."
Pyro asks if Tarlov has been to Mar-a-Lago. "He wasn't invited," Pirro replied, "so don't assume what you don't know, because Tarlov wasn't invited."
Piro then told Tarlov "not to point fingers" as the host continued to question the issue.
In a September 2022 interview with the Los Angeles Times , Tarlov said that his Five castmates' interruptions and arguments were part of the show's appeal.
"The essence of the show is to imitate real life," Tarlov said. “And when you talk to people in your life, whether it's family or friends, especially when you talk to people who have different points of view, all aspects of your personality come together.
"I think it's funny," he said. "I like to go back and forth until I'm really baffled and stop thinking."
