Dracula and Mavis rise again as Netflix announces the arrival of Motel Transylvaniaan animated series based on the beloved film franchise, Hotel Transylvaniamade famous by Adam Sandler i selena gomez. Details are scarce on this one, as the streamer has simply teased the title and a first-look image, without going into more depth on the plot or which voice actors we can expect to return for a new makeover of the series But with the platform quickly becoming one of the premiere destinations for animated content, we can expect the show to live up to previous films and series.

The image shows Count Dracula, also known as Dragon, and his daughter, Mavis, hovering in the sky and disdaining his latest business venture. With his cape flapping in the wind, Drac flashes a slight smile, looking like a proud father to his daughter's first motel property, but, with fingers crossed behind his backwe are wondering what drac is doing. Revealing his neon dream vision to his fatherMavis poses with her hands framing the motel below that glows at night.

With trendy architecture, the front of the motel is covered in purple, yellow, pink and blue stained glass, while next to it the hotel name “Motel Transylvania” gets its own fun colored neon sign with the words “Opening Soon on Netflix” below. As guests approach the front door, they are greeted by a fountain, surrounded by a mosaic tile pattern. Netflix will have big shoes to fill in its episodic arm Hotel Transylvania. An immediate hit, the first film, which haunted audiences in the cutest way possible in 2012, was a blockbuster, with a staggering global total of over $358 million against its $85 million budget. Considering the extreme financial success, it is not surprising that the film received a sequel, followed by two more titles. each of which went on to score big at the box office save for 2022 Hotel Transylvania: Transformaniawhich was released directly to Prime Video.

Many of the voice actors returned to reprise their roles throughout the four films, with talented names such as Kathryn Hahn (WandaVision), David Spade (Tommy Boy), Molly Shannon (Super star), Steve Buscemi (Boardwalk Empire), Keegan-Michael Key (Wonka), and more lining up the call sheet. Right now, it's unclear who will return for the series, but with his close relationship with the streamerlet's hope Sandler reprises his role as Dragon, which will hopefully prompt others to join the pack.
