Jessa is not repeating mom's parenting style

Seewald went further and wrote about how much she loved her mother and how she hopes her own children look up to her as she raises five children with her husband. Ben Seewald. “I love her more than any other woman I know, and I only hope I can be half the mother to my own children that she was to me,” Seewald wrote. In the show, fans criticized the Duggar family for how they had their older children helping raise the younger ones. Calling it a friend, older siblings often took care of the younger kids and made sure they did their homework, ate, brushed their teeth, and really those were things that parents usually check on their kids. When Seewald posted a photo of her children together, many wondered if she was doing the same friend system with her five children, but she dismissed the idea.


“Did you have younger siblings and if so, did you ever want them? George's siblings are not his mother and I am not giving them any maternal responsibilities that are mine.” Seewald responded to the concern. So while she praised Duggar for what she was like as a mother, it doesn't seem like Seewald is doing the same.
