Daniel is really the third main character of the Interview with the vampire series, a human among vampires. In his heart, what kind of power do you think he has and how does he really feel about his subjects?

Bogosian: Well, working backwards, I think he thinks that… I mean, there's a lot of sympathy between him and Louis. And I think he wants to find Louis and maybe even sees a reflection of himself in his need or damaged elements. But on the other hand, he wants to defeat Armand. There's no doubt that Armand is an enemy, and there's no… Well, things will… If you know the books, all kinds of things happen.

But I think Daniel's strength is brain power. And because he's a person who's kind of damaged goods, he puts all his eggs in one basket. He is willing to risk his life if he can just solve this. These guys could kill him at any moment.

Speaking of the book, Armand and Daniel have a pretty complex relationship, to say the least. Do you think we'll see any of this show up in season two?

Bogosian: [Puts his fingers to his lips and smiles devilishly, shaking his head.]

You are on a recording, so we need some words here.

Bogosian: We'll have to leave that to your imagination because there's a lot to come. But I guarantee that interesting things will happen at the end of the second season.

well Well, we'll pass it on to Daniel and Armand fans.

Bogosian: But it will also be heavy. There will be a lot of heaviness.

So how did Daniel feel about ending up as Armand and Louis's couples counselor? Interview with the vampire second season?

Bogosian: Everything is at the service of the work, which is to achieve the story. That's all he cares about. I think when they sit down and say, at the beginning of season two, “We're going to be honest with you. Now we're going to tell you everything. We're going to hold hands and be sweet.” And he says, “What the hell are they giving me now? They're not doing it because they want to. They're doing something, and I've got to find out what it is.”

After talking so much with Louis and Armand Interview with the vampire season two, do you think Daniel still has his desire to become a vampire?

Bogosian: It always goes back and forth. In the first season, I give a lot of good reasons why I don't want to become a vampire. But it's pretty hard isn't it… I don't think it's just a matter of “I don't want to be sick anymore.” I think the more time he spends with vampires, the more he understands what an incredible frontier it is to span centuries. I mean, look at Armand. 500 years Come on. How would that be?

And then, looking at the books, are there any future moments that you would really like to bring to life if there was a third season? Interview with the vampire and beyond?

Bogosian: The moment I'm really looking forward to, which has nothing to do with me, is when, I think her name is Akasha, she's flying around the world destroying villages with Lestat in her arms. I love this picture. And I don't know, unfortunately Cher is too old now, but I always think of someone like Cher flying with Sam. [Reid].

On this surprising note, Interview with the vampire The second season premieres on AMC and AMC+ on May 12, 2024 at 9/8c.
