Eric Kripke’s Five Season Plan for THE BOYS Is (Probably) Changing

TV

the boys returns to Prime Video for a fourth round, and judging by the trailers, there's going to be plenty of brawling. The Seven (well, Six) vs. the Boys, the Boys vs. Victoria Neuman, Starlighters vs. Homelander supporters, and so much blood and gore. Fans are loving this series and until now, they were expecting it to end in its fifth season. That's what creator and showrunner Eric Kripke said years ago. Now, Kripke is blowing a different tune and says he's rethinking that five-season plan the boys. When you're successful, you gotta run with it like A-Train, right?

Now that the boys got one renewal of the fifth season, isn't quite ready to end this streak. Here's what he said recently in a reverse interview:

“I've since learned not to try to name seasons like the person who, without hyperbole, is literally the most wrong in the history of entertainment about how many seasons their show should last. Someone pointed it out to me and I said, “You're right. I have to keep my mouth shut.”

Of course, he no longer makes statements or promises about how long the boys will run Maybe it will go very, very far like supernatural. Or maybe Kripke will decide that a sixth or seventh season is enough. Either way, this universe is heating up Gene V gaining strength and surely more spin-offs will come our way. We're certainly not complaining about more extra measures in the future.
