‘Fallout’ Season 2 Might Arrive Sooner Than You Think

The current push to adapt video games is a frontier that many knew existed in the entertainment industry, though few have successfully taken on the daunting task. HBO The last of us and Prime Video's Negative consequence are two of the most recent examples that demonstrate with the right application, video game adaptations can be done well. Exploring the desert that was once los angeles, the first season of Negative consequence voice Ella Purnell as Lucy McLean, an underground resident of Vault 33 searching for his lost father. The dystopian series has proven that it is a huge hit for Prime Video so far, and now all eyes are on its second season as several loose ends remain.

For what comes next, Negative consequence showrunners Graham Wagner i Geneva Robertson-Dworet have explained how much progress they have made in planning for the upcoming season. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Walter wouldn't be drawn on providing a release window for Season 2, citing that it was still in early development.

“The internet has an interesting habit of making non-binding statements binding, so I hesitate to give a date which will be taken out of context and live on Reddit for a year or so,” Wagner explained. “But let's go as fast as we canand we have A lot of the heavy lifting of Season 1 has already been done. We have sets, assets, visual effects, which are already done. This season we are moving forward. let's be pedal to the metal to get Season 2 out as fast as humanly possible.”

While a specific release window wasn't part of the conversation, the pair agreed that the development of Season 1 had put the necessary foundations for the Season 2 story to thrive successfully. “And there are so many things we wanted to do in Season 1 where we were like, “That would be awesome, let's do it in Season 2“, recalls Robertson-Dworet. “So looks like we're going a lot further and it's honestly very exciting, and we're very grateful to have the opportunity to bring to the screen all the things that didn't quite fit in Season 1. We're excited to be able to do them now.”

At the time of the eighth i last episode of the first season from Prime Video's Negative consequence had aired, it was clear that the lives of its main actors had changed forever. Negative consequence has been among those of Prime Video most watched series since its premiereand in season 2 we will see the heroes, Lucy and the Ghoul (Walton Goggins) leave the Wasteland with new quests in mind. His quest will center around Lucy's father, Hank (Kyle MacLachlan), and the Ghoul family. Goggins, who represents the Ghoul, recently teased what's to come next for her character development of the arch.

“In the conversations we've had, we knew that if we were going to get a second season, the first season really unpacked very little,” Goggins confirmed. “You know, there was very little that they explored even though it looks big. Because the game itself is hundreds, thousands of hours, but in this fictional version of a Negative consequence story that fits into the canon of Negative consequencein this story we are telling, so many questions remain unanswered.”
