George RR Martin might be the best known for his fantasy world of Westerosbut longtime fans know that he began his career writing science fiction. His love for gender it has never waned, either. The author has shared the first photo from the set of the upcoming short film “The Summer Machine”, the first part of an anthology he is producing.
Limit date shared the first image from the production of “The Summer Machine”. The short film by writer and director Michael Cassut (The Twilight Zone) seems to have just finished filming. Little is known about the short beyond what this set and cast photo reveals. It stars Lina Esco, Charles Martin Smith and Matt Frewer. Martin shared a funny comment about the project. he said Limit date“Summer is coming.”
It looks like other shorts are too. This is the first in an anthology series. As long as others write these shorts, a series of sci-fi anthology films produced by George RR Martin won't be just a fantasy.
