Tad and Mina may have looked good on camera, but their current relationship is rocky. As Mina revealed on her podcast, they're not in a great place. “My brother Tad said some really horrible things to me, and I'm sure he'd say I've said some really horrible things to him, too. But the most recent things he said to me, he can't say that's not what he said. He can't say that I got it wrong. We are men, but we are only human.” In public, Tad has refused to discuss his drama with his sister, although he has spilled some tea while sharing information about his own business via a Instagram video

Although Tad and Karen are not blood relatives, they treat each other as if they were. When Tad's mother died when he was young, he went to live with Karen before spending quality time with her before going to work. Tad stated, “When I was growing up in that difficult time, every day I would wake up and she was there for me. It's great to have her as a teacher and as a mom.” Maybe that's why he spent so much time working with her at Karen's Craft Cabin. While there hasn't been a public breakup between Karen and Tad, they seem to be on speaking terms, unlike both of them with Mina.
