The late PGA Tour winner's parents Grayson Murray have confirmed the cause of his son's death.
The professional golfer, who died on May 25 at the age of 30, committed suicide. eric i Terry Murray he said in a statement.
“We have spent the last 24 hours trying to come to terms with the fact that our son is gone,” they wrote in a message posted on the PGA Tour's Instagram on May 26. “It's surreal that we not only have to admit it to ourselves, but that we also have to admit it to the world. It's a nightmare.”
The couple said they “have so many unanswered questions. But one.”
“Did Grayson love himself? The answer is yes. But we, his brother Cameronher sister Erica, his entire extended family, his friends, his fellow players, and—apparently—many of you reading this. He was loved and will be missed,” the statement continued. “Life wasn't always easy for Grayson, and although he took his own life, we know he is now resting in peace.”
