Blanchard gypsy rose had a special mother's day message
Several months after the 32-year-old's release from prison for her role in the murder of Claudine “Dee Dee” Blanchardmarked the holidays by reflecting on his relationship with his late mother.
“It goes without saying that my own biological mother is not here to celebrate Mother's Day,” Gypsy explained in a May 12 TikTok video. “What I choose to feel on Mother's Day about my own mother is that I think it's the best thing about her.”
And Gypsy, who has spoken out about the alleged Munchausen by proxy she experienced at the hands of her mother, also noted that her perspective, while paradoxical, is valid.
“I think of her as not what she did to me,” Gypsy continued. “But I think of her as a person. And I think…was she a good mother? No. Was she the best mother in the world? No. But she was still my mother. So what I decided to feel about her… Whether it's guilt, anger, pain, resentment, whatever, that's mine that no one can take away my feelings about my own mother.”
