The siren has sounded, and what a response it was from Hawthorn.

Luke Breust had the final kick of the day and kicked a goal after the siren to seal a 25-point win over Brisbane, who are still struggling this season.

“After last week, it was a bit unnerving. [We] he probably couldn't enjoy it until the final siren,” skipper James Sicily told Fox after the game.

He said Hawthorn's mindset in the final quarter was to keep attacking the footy, adding that he was pleased with the fight shown by his side.

“We are a very good side,” he added.

The Hawks have moved up to 13th, while Brisbane remain in 12th.
