Huawei Pura 70 Ultra and Huawei Pura 70 Pro+ were launched on Thursday (April 18) as the latest flagship phones from the Shenzen-based manufacturer. The new phones run on HarmonyOS 4.2 and come with 16GB of RAM with up to 1TB of storage. Both the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra and Huawei Pura 70 Pro+ feature 6.8-inch LTPO OLED panels with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and have triple rear cameras led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor. They offer dual satellite connectivity and support 100W fast wired charging.

The Huawei Pura 70 Ultra is backed by a 5,200mAh battery, while the Huawei Pura 70 Pro houses a 5,050mAh battery. The new phones are the company's first set of devices to launch under the Pura brand.

Huawei Pura 70 Ultra price starts from CNY 9,999 (Rs. 1,15,000 approx) for the 16GB + 512GB storage variant and CNY 10,999 (Rs. 1,26,800 approx) for the d variant 16 GB + 1 TB storage. It comes in Chanson Green, Mocha Brown, Starburst White and Starburst Black colors (translated from Chinese).

Huawei Pura 70 Pro+ price starts from CNY 7,999 (Rs. 92,000 approx) for the 512GB storage variant and CNY 8,999 (Rs. 1,03,000 approx) for the 1 storage variant TB. It is available in Lightweave Silver, Phantom Black and String White (translated from Chinese) color options. Both models are currently on sale in China.

The Huawei Pura 70 Ultra and Huawei Pura 70 Pro+ dual SIM (Nano) run HarmonyOS 4.2. They feature a 6.8-inch Full HD+ (1,260 x 2,844 pixels) OLED LTPO display adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz, high-frequency PWM dimming of 1440Hz, touch sampling rate of 300 Hz and pixel density of 460 ppi. Screens have Kunlun glass protection. The chipsets of the new phones are yet to be revealed by the brand, but it is widely speculated to be the latest Kirin 9010 SoC. They have 16GB of RAM and storage options of 512GB or 1TB. The phones do not offer memory card expansion.

The Huawei Pura 70 Ultra and Huawei Pura 70 Pro+ have a triple rear camera setup with LED flash. The camera setup on the former includes a retractable 1-inch 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 40-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 50-megapixel macro telephoto sensor with optical image stabilization and autofocus. Meanwhile, the Huawei Pura 70 Pro+ packs a 50-megapixel sensor with OIS support, a 12.5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 48-megapixel macro telephoto camera. On the front, both phones pack a 13-megapixel sensor.

Connectivity options on the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra and Huawei Pura 70 Pro+ include Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS/AGPS, NFC, GLONASS, Beidou, NavIC and a USB type. Port C for charging. Sensors on board include a gravity sensor, an infrared (IR) sensor, a hall sensor, a gyroscope, a compass, an ambient light sensor and a proximity sensor. There is also an in-display fingerprint scanner for authentication. They also carry IP68-rated construction for dust and water resistance.

The Huawei Pura 70 Ultra and Huawei Pura 70 Pro+ offer dual satellite connectivity that allows users to make and receive calls and send text messages via a satellite system.

Huawei has packed a 5,200mAh battery in the Pura 70 Ultra model and a 5,050mAh battery in the Pura 70 Pro+. They support 100W wired fast charging and 18W wired reverse charging. Both models support 80W wireless fast charging and 20W wireless reverse charging.

The Huawei Pura 70 Ultra measures 162.6×75.1×8.4mm and weighs 226 grams. The Huawei Pura 70 Pro+ measures 162.6 x 75.1 x 8.4 mm and weighs 220 grams.
