Sarah Jessica Parker is always so busy with acting and fashion and her charity work, and Matthew Broderick is always busy doing a play or a movie…
Just like that, it can be easy to forget that these two award-winning actors have been going home to each other at the end of those long days for almost 27 years.
“We cook every night,” Parker, who’s turning 59 on March 25, said on a July 2023 episode of Table for Two with Bruce Bozzi. “We really do cook five to six nights a week, for sure,” she added, explaining that they aren’t much for takeout. “We have always have a Sunday dinner—we invite people.”
But just in case they’re not cooking or hosting on any given night, they’re probably off doing something together, such as when they costarred in the Broadway revival of Neil Simon‘s Plaza Suite in 2022, which moved to London’s West End earlier this year.
“I think she’s tremendously good,” Broderick complimented his wife’s acting acumen, speaking to The Telegraph. Playing a long-married couple having some major issues, “Boy, you would think it would [make us think about what makes a marriage work], but I don’t know that it has…It’s more about depending on each other onstage that’s educational.”
The 62-year-old added, “How to work together well is probably a good exercise for a couple.”
But the theater has always been one of their happy places.
