When asked which specific super and not-so-super individuals would be worth looking into with an “Invincible” spin-off, Robert Kirkman did not confirm anything. Still, he did share some ideas about what it could entail. “There was some Rex Splode exploration in the comics that might be fun to do. Monster Girl is another character that has an interesting backstory,” Kirkman mused.
In the massive 144-issue comic, Kirkman’s tale branches off on plenty of occasions from the Grayson family saga and those pulled into it. Excluding Atom Eve, Rex Splode, and Monster Girl, plenty of characters in the world of “Invincible” have yet to appear but have their own comic book runs. To name a few, there’s the invulnerable Brit, Astounding Wolf-Man, and Tech Jacket, who is somewhere between Iron Man and Green Lantern.
There’s also the most complex and shady character of the “Invincible” universe, Cecil Stedman, voiced by Walton Goggins. Speaking about the character for potential future spin-off plans, Kirkman said, “There’s a lot of stuff with Cecil that people don’t necessarily know that would be fun, and it’d be great to work with Walton Goggins. But yeah, I mean, there’s a bunch of different characters out there. We’ll see!”
