Sinclair's parents, Terry and Gai, wrote: “Our family appreciates the news that former Senior Detective Shawn Adams has been charged with perjury. We are relieved that some of what we have carried with us for several years has come to light. light in the public domain. We hope that the charges against the former officer will go to trial and that the accused will face the full force of the justice system.”
Belin's family is still dealing with the personal toll of the case.

“We are, of course, disappointed and upset about the three years it took Jack and our family through this whole process,” they wrote. “It was an incredibly distressing and stressful time for us, but we are a very close family and we got through this together. We are so proud of Jack. He has a beautiful wife and children, for whom he is incredibly grateful.

“Now there must be consequences and repercussions for their actions. We, as parents, will continue to defend our children and their right to justice.”
Sinclair's parents wrote about the effect the case had on their family.
“The impact of this false accusation against Callan has taken a toll on our entire family, friends and extended community,” they wrote.
“Emotionally, physically and financially it has been huge and continues to dominate our lives. Our family is extremely strong and connected, and we will continue to support our son and others as we strive to move forward and get our lives back together.
“Both Callan and Jack have always conducted themselves with honesty and dignity throughout this terrible ordeal. Withstanding such a false and horrific accusation, the incredible meddling and intense vilification of the media, the uninformed presumption of guilt by many and the 'obvious pressure and weight for both families, it has been a huge burden for them.
“We are incredibly proud of Callan's courage and resilience, especially given his young age [23 at the time]. It has given us all a lot of strength to draw from.
“Now is the time for Mr. Adams to respect the legal system he once swore to uphold and give a full, truthful and transparent account.”
Ramp fall
It is perfectly understandable that the Rebel store in Bondi Junction has stopped selling Kangaroos rugby league jumpers following the tragic deaths of six people at the Westfield complex where the store is located. The killer wore an Australian shirt during his terrifying rampage.
None of this was lost on those running the game. It has put the code in an unenviable position. The overriding thought at headquarters is that the only thing that matters is the victims, their families and anyone else affected by the events of that Saturday afternoon.
Dismissing this shirt will seem like the game was somehow making the tragedy of a sport.
It's a delicate situation, and even if there are denials, make sure there have been discussions about the jumper. But you're unlikely to hear anything official on the matter in the immediate future.
There are people who would like to move on from this Kangaroos jersey.
In reality, the NRL and the ARL Commission would never do anything to disrespect the memory of those who lost their lives. However, there are people in the game who believe that the jumper should be rested for a while.
Wayne is done with the deal
Wayne Bennett he's telling people of importance in the game that he's heading south to Sydney. He recently addressed his group of players and laid it out in his matter-of-fact way, saying: “I'm unemployed next year and I want the job.”
He has also told others in rugby league that he is a Rabbitoh in waiting.
The joy of six
what did he do Josh Schuster do on your recent trip to the Gold Coast? Many thought he was going there to meet the Titans and their coach, From Haslerwho was Schuster's former coach at Manly.
Sources with knowledge of the situation, who did not want to be named because of the sensitivity of the situation, told me there was no meeting between the Titans and Schuster. However, he caught up with his old Manly teammate Kieran Foran.
At the end of April, the Sea Eagles released Schuster from the final three years of his contract and he is on the lookout for a new club.

Schuster is training his back to be a five-eighth again. This is the position he is determined to play and he knows he has to be fit to get to that spot. He was moved to the back row for much of his time at Manly.
Schuster Agent, Mario Tartaksaid they are putting aside any offers from NRL clubs for now as the player works on his physical and mental health.
What Happened in Las Vegas: Survey Paints Bright Future for Upcoming US Travel
The NRL is not resting on the success of its Vegas venture as it strives to improve even further in year two.
A cross-section of Las Vegas match-goers – 1500 people out of a crowd of 40,000 – were surveyed about their experience at Allegiant Stadium for games featuring the Broncos, Sea Eagles, Roosters and Rabbitohs. Almost half said they would return for the second year, and this number was even higher if the respondent's club was involved.
Here are some of the findings:
- The majority of respondents (76%) were between 35 and 64 years old;
- 86% lived in Australia or the US, and 27% were US-born;
- 22% were Broncos fans, 18% followed Souths, 12% Roosters and 11% Manly;
- 88 percent traveled to Las Vegas for the games;
- 52% traveled from Australia, 32% from other parts of the US, 7% from the UK, 5% from Canada and 2% from New Zealand;
- 31 per cent had never attended an NRL game before;
- Asked “what was the biggest factor in your decision to attend,” 27% said they were rooting for their team, 8% as part of a visit to Las Vegas, 6% for to an outing with friends and 5% for an outing with the family;
- On a scale of one to five (one being extremely poor, five being extremely good), 77% of people rated the overall experience a five;
- 49% of respondents said they would return for the 2025 Las Vegas games (an additional 30% said they would return if their club played).
The Danish barrier
Dane Gagai showed what a class act he is during his latest talks with the Roosters coach Trent Robinson. Gagai met Robinson at his home in Bronte a fortnight ago and left convinced a place at the famous club was in store.

However, Gagai insisted he would not negotiate with the Roosters until he was sure the move to Sydney was right for his wife Kelly and three young children.
Importantly, Gagai and the Roosters never discussed money, nor was any discussion leaked to the media. And when Gagai decided to stay at Newcastle on Wednesday, he called Robinson to break the news himself. It's a refreshing approach.
Dolphin watching
Here's a weird one. Jake Averillo's name continues to be mentioned at clubs other than the Dolphins, where he has a long-term contract. Averillo was a great signing for the club and it doesn't make much sense that he could be on the move. But the rumor has the center linked to the Dragons, who are looking to replace the Parramatta-bound Zach Lomax. It may be just a whisper, but it's worth keeping an eye on.
