Kickboxer Jamal Ben Saddik`s appeal has failed, confirming his prison sentence.
Jamal Ben Saddik has been sentenced to a 40-month prison term, with half of it suspended, following the rejection of his appeal in a money laundering case. The Antwerp Court of Appeal affirmed his conviction for laundering more than €1.2 million and committing forgery.
His brother, Saïd Ben Saddik, and an associate, Emad N., also received substantial sentences of two and a half years and four years respectively. Authorities have confiscated the entire amount of €1,230,000 that was laundered as part of the scheme.
However, it remains unclear how much actual time Ben Saddik will serve. Under Belgian law, individuals sentenced to less than 36 months do not necessarily face full-time imprisonment.

This ruling brings an end to the legal case that unveiled a network involved in fraudulent contracts and real estate schemes linked to Dutch criminal Karim S. Raids conducted during the investigation resulted in the seizure of over €500,000 in cash and numerous forged documents.
The Dutch-Moroccan fighter had returned to competition earlier this year following a break of over two years. His most recent bout, which occurred less than two weeks ago in the semifinals of the Last Heavyweight Standing tournament, ended in a loss to Sofian Laidouni due to a cut on his shin.
