The actor, who a few years ago had reprized his role as Danny Tanner in the sequel series Jeff Fuller House along with all the stars of the franchise apart from the Olsens, he was found dead at the age of 65 in a Florida hotel room in January 2022. He was later buried in a funeral in Los Angeles attended by his Full House co-stars, more friends, his wife and three daughters Aubrey, jennifer i Lara from his previous marriage.

A medical examiner's report obtained by E! News determined that he had died of head trauma. Bob's family said authorities concluded he had “accidentally bumped the back of his head on something, didn't think anything of it and went to sleep.” They added that there were no drugs or alcohol involved.

This past January, Full House alumni paid tribute to Bob on the second anniversary of his death.

“It almost gets weirder as time goes on because I'm like, 'Wow, I haven't heard from Bob in a long time.' And I'm like, 'Oh.'” Andrea Barber, who portrayed the Tanner family's neighbor Kimmy Gibbler, said in an Instagram clip showing the cast on a video call. “It's so weird that it's been two years without getting a crazy long message from him or a neurotic call. It's so weird that it's been two years.”

Dave said, “Look what Bob gave us. He gave us this. He gave us this moment right here. Always keep that person alive somehow, and that's what we're doing. And I think in through pain, that's so important to Remembering them is keeping them alive just by talking about them, celebrating them and remembering them the way they would want you to.”
