Kaito Ono vs. Enriko Kehl Announced for June 22 Bout

Shootboxing Super Welterweight champion Kaito Ono is scheduled to compete against Enriko Kehl on June 22 at SHOOT BOXING 2025 act.3. The upcoming fight was revealed by Shootboxing representative Kenichi Ogata alongside Kaito Ono himself during a recent event.

`Kaito

Kaito has been actively seeking a rematch with GLORY Lightweight champion Tjyani Beztati ever since he lost to Beztati by decision in August 2023. As part of his efforts to earn another title shot, Kaito has defeated several notable fighters from the GLORY roster, including Guerric Billet, Dragomir Petrov, Arman Hambaryan, and former champion Davit Kiria.

Similarly, Enriko Kehl has also faced Tjyani Beztati after defeating Guerric Billet in a GLORY title eliminator. Kehl ultimately lost to Beztati via unanimous decision, placing him in a comparable situation to Kaito in terms of pursuing another opportunity against the GLORY champion. Although GLORY`s lightweight division is currently on hold, a victory in their upcoming fight would significantly enhance either Kaito`s or Kehl`s prospects for a future title challenge against Beztati.

Kaito also shared information about a meeting he had with ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong. Kaito stated that Sityodtong apologized regarding the cancellation of his previously planned fight against Marat Grigorian. Kaito expressed his belief that to truly resolve matters with Grigorian, they will need to fight at some point. He also reiterated his plans to return to GLORY, where he intends to defeat the number one contender before challenging Beztati for the championship belt.
