Cannes is known to have strict protocols, including a dress code for guests.
“A jacket (tuxedo) with tie or evening dress is required to attend Gala screenings,” reads a notice on its website. “In the absence of this, you can wear a cocktail dress, a dark pantsuit, a smart top with black pants, a black suit, a black or midnight blue suit with a tie.
