King Charles III Says He’s Lost Sense of Taste Amid Cancer Treatment

King Charles IIIthe health journey continues.

Since sharing that he had been diagnosed with an unnamed form of cancer in February, the British monarch has been tight-lipped about his health in the months since. However, during a recent visit to the Army Flying Museum in Middle Wallop, Hampshire, Charles shared more details about his treatment.

During his visit to the Museum on May 13, Charles was talking to a British Army veteran named Aaron Mapplebeck who told the royal that he had lost his sense of taste while undergoing cancer treatment last year. During his conversation, by The Daily MailCharles confirmed that he too had lost his sense of taste during the course of his treatment, although he did not share whether the effects were temporary.

The 75-year-old's visit to the Army Flying Museum comes amid his recent return to public duties. Although he had taken a step back after his initial diagnosis, allowing time for treatment and recovery, on April 30 Charles visited the Macmillan Cancer Center at University Hospital London with Queen Camilla at his side.
