Kips Bay Decorator Show House Has Rooms By Mother-Daughter Designers

Arts & Celebrities

The Kips Bay Decorator Show House Palm Beach is showcasing projects from teams of mother and daughter designers this year—just in time for Women’s History Month.

Located at 230 Miramar Way in the “SoSo” neighborhood of West Palm Beach, this year’s property is a spacious 9,218 square feet and features five bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms. Female decorators have led previous Kips Bay Decorator Show Houses, but introducing multi-generational designers is a new dynamic. As always, the show house is a major fundraiser for Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club and Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County.

The mother and daughter design teams each created a unique, inspiring design with luxury and sophistication at the helm, all while giving a nod to the classic Palm Beach styles of past and present.

‘Bond’s Boudoir’ By Donna Mondi And Alyssa Hall

Mondi and her daughter Hall designed “Bond’s Boudoir,” a sleek and sultry bathroom and dressing room dominated by dark and moody hues. Inspired by James Bond, this striking room seamlessly blends bold design with luxurious comfort. Material Bespoke Stone & Tile crafted a striking black-and-white marble striped floor that continues on to snake across the shower wall. In the dressing room, velvet drapes from Sanderson and The Shade Store; leather panels from Keleen Leather; and a vintage Italian armoire add opulence.

‘Gimme a Minute’ And ‘De-Loo-Loo’ By Megan Gorelick, Bailey Donahue And Lily Gorelick

Gorelick, alongside her daughters Bailey and Lily, designed two colorful rooms that bring magic and whimsy into the home. “Gimme a Minute” features a custom daybed in a luxurious Kravet fabric with multi-colored trim pillows adding comfort and style. The wallpaper, Schumacher’s “Queen’s Flight,” gives a dreamland feel to the space. Together, the contrasting colors and patterns are a delicious feast for the eyes.

The second room, titled “De-Loo-Loo,” is a playful bathroom encased in bold pink decor. From the wallpaper to the drapes, the trio worked with Christopher Farr to create a custom colorway of one of their favorite prints—Belle de Nuit.

‘Bedroom’ By Phoebe Howard And Nellie Ossi Howard

Phoebe and Nellie crafted a blue- and white-hued master bedroom that certainly brings the spirit of Palm Beach to the show home. The vibrant colors and bold patterns lend a bright and airy feel to the space thanks to their well-balanced design. For a bit of added richness, subtle gold accents are strewn throughout.

‘Seashell Sanctuary At Vizcaya’ By Cindy Rinfret And Taylor Stebbins

A serene and tranquil space, Rinfret and Stebbins’ bedroom design showcases natural beauty through a soft and neutral color palette, delicate fabrics and nature-inspired accents. Most notably, seashells embellish the ceiling of the four-poster bed which, according to Rinfret, evokes historic grandeur inspired by the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami.

The 2024 Kips Bay Decorator Show House Palm Beach is open now through March 17, 2024.
