For decades, LEGO has brought its unique brand of brick-building fun to licensed properties. Almost as long as this, it has also produced video games based on these licensed properties. After dozens of War of the galaxies, Marvel, Batman, and more titles coming to consoles, we finally have an ouroboros. The latest LEGO video game, announced in the Nintendo Direct, is based on a non-LEGO video game for the PlayStation. Have a party with your eyes LEGO Horizon Adventures.
The open-world action game puts players in control of Aloy, a girl in a future agrarian society after an unspecified apocalypse turns animal-like machines into the ruling creatures of the planet. He has to learn about his past and save his people while fighting velociraptor robots and shit. This edition of LEGO will bring together the events and characters of 2017 Horizon Zero Dawn and in 2022 Forbidden Horizon Westbut with the inimitable beautiful construction style.
Why this game exists I don't really know, but for fans of both LEGO games and the horizon games, this probably goes without saying. LEGO Horizon Adventures coming to Nintendo Switch this holiday season.
