We decided to learn more about the event and sat down with the CEO of M-ART, here's what he had to say.

“I am Johnessco Rodríguez, the CEO of M-ART, an innovator at the crossroads of art and technology. My background spans over 25 years in international business, including promoting fine arts, IT, and now leveraging blockchain technology for environmental purposes. I love driving the fusion of these worlds with innovation and passion.”

How did the idea for M-ART come about?

“M-ART was born from a vision to bridge the gap between the appreciation of traditional art and the limitless possibilities of digital realms. After more than 15 years of organizing art fairs in different corners of the world, we recognized an untapped opportunity to bring the art world into the metaverse, making it more accessible and attractive to a global audience that may avoid traveling to the destinations that host the shows in the first place; destination but want to easily arrive and explore other options at the same time.”

“Absolutely. Our Virtual Art Experience is a fully immersive journey into digital art. Why did you decide to open your virtual doors during Art Miami Week?

“Art Miami Week is a beacon for art enthusiasts and professionals around the world. By launching during this time, we capitalize on the increased interest in art and present our innovative platform when the eyes of the art world are already very focused on innovative and emerging technological trends.”

Who do you hope to attract and at what age?

“We are targeting a broad audience, but especially tech-savvy art collectors and people of all age groups. Do you think this event will help promote emerging artists?

You are recommending people experience the show with a VR device, may I ask why?

“All visitors can access the show using their computers, tablets or mobile phones, but using a virtual reality device elevates the experience of simply viewing art to being fully immersed in it. This technology allows viewers to interact with the art while being part of the exhibition, breaking down the boundaries of traditional art appreciation and providing a deeply personal and engaging experience where people can immediately socialize and create business opportunities.” .
