Macron’s centrist party suffers historic defeat in first round of voting in France

Voters in France are selecting a new legislature. In the first round, President Emmanuel Macron's centrist party suffered a heavy defeat, finishing third behind left- and right-wing supporters. The second and final round of voting ends on July 7.
