Finally, the dynamic duo of Dave Bautista i Chloe Coleman are back, and the stakes are much higher in the first trailer for My Spy: The Eternal City. Prime Video's sequel to the 2020 family spy adventure, my spy, has been considered since the first film was released, and the footage finally offers a look at where the pair are headed after their long absence. Picking up years after CIA agent JJ ​​moves in with his little spy-in-training Sophie and her mother Kate (Parisa Fitz-Henley), the film takes Bautista and Coleman overseas for some international espionage and a high school trip.


The trailer shows the family preparing for a trip to some of Europe's most historic and breathtaking locations, while Sophie's high school sweetheart is selected for a prestigious Italian tour. JJ sees this as a great opportunity to bond with his new stepdaughter and offers to escort the group through Italy's many sights on their way to a performance for the Pope in Vatican City. However, what should be a trip to make memories and have fun becomes a race against time when JJ discovers they have been embroiled in a terrorist plot with no idea what they were getting into. He and Sophie must spring into action to save the day before the villains can carry out their sinister plan.


Beyond Bautista and Coleman, The Eternal City will see some returning faces from the original, incl Kristen Schaal as JJ's partner and technology specialist Bobbi and Ken Jeong like his boss David Kim. The sequel only further stacks the bar for more family spy thriller fun Anna Faris, Flula Borg, Craig Robinson, Billy Barratti Taeho K joining the cast.
