The X-Men: Apocalypse The star has had four more surgeries in his fight against cancer and GMA shared that her doctor wants her to soon start a treatment drug that will hopefully prevent the cancer from producing growth hormones in other parts of her body.
Munn previously spoke about her other procedures, which have included a lymph node dissection, reconstructive surgery, a nipple lift and a hysterectomy, and how she remains positive about her family's goals.
“When you're pregnant with your own baby, it's like working as a team: you and the baby working together to make their little life happen,” she said recently. Vogue. “You're doing all this work to eat well, try not to be anxious, just do all the right things during pregnancy. With a surrogate, you have to try to go find a version of yourself somewhere in the world. Someone you trust as much as you do to live your life as a pregnant woman the same way you would.”
“But a replacement is no longer a scary prospect for me because I can't do anything,” Munn continued. “I no longer have the ability to carry a baby, so if we want to build our family, this is our choice. This trip has made me realize how grateful I am to have options not only to fight cancer, but also to have more children if we want, because I know that many people do not have these options.”
