As she prepares to welcome her first baby with her husband Cole Tuckerthe High School Musical Alum is already looking ahead to her future as a working mother. While “there's no crystal ball here” to tell Vanessa what maternity leave will be like, she says there are still plenty of career milestones she'd like to reach.
“I leave it up to the wind,” he said in an interview with Bustle published on April 23. “There's a lot of things I want to do regardless of the moment. There's a lot of things I feel like I haven't done yet, so I'm still working toward those things anyway.”
One of those goals? Directing, which the 35-year-old said she would like to try “somewhere down the line.”
“I feel like my taste is so weird and not what people expect,” Vanessa noted, “and I think that's what makes directors interesting, when they have a specific and different point of view.”
