Regian Eersel Loses Lightweight Belt on the Scale

At ONE Fight Night 30 held at Lumpinee Stadium, in the co-main event, Regian Eersel once again faced Alexis Nicolas. Eersel secured his second win over the Frenchman in their trilogy, earning a five-round decision victory. Despite the win inside the cage, Eersel did not leave with the ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Title because he failed to make weight and pass the hydration test prior to the fight.

Eersel established control early in the bout, setting the pace and landing clean combinations to the head and body. Nicolas attempted to counter with sharp low kicks, aiming to wear down the Surinamese fighter, but Eersel remained composed and in command.

Eersel further cemented his advantage in the second round, increasing his pressure and scoring a knockdown against Nicolas with a powerful left hook just before the round ended.

Nicolas, known as `Barboza`, came out aggressively in the third round, trying to turn the momentum. However, Eersel consistently stayed one step ahead, landing more accurate and impactful strikes throughout the remainder of the contest.

After five high-paced rounds, Eersel was awarded a majority decision victory. While he added another win to his professional record, the ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Title remains vacant due to his pre-fight weight and hydration issues.
