The retail box for the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 was recently leaked, and it appears to feature a major design change: the inclusion of stems, according to a report. The South Korean tech giant is expected to launch its TWS headphones alongside its flagship foldable smartphones at a Galaxy Unpacked event rumored to take place in July. This development corroborates earlier suggestions from several insiders who claim that Samsung could prompt a design overhaul of its TWS headphone series this year.
Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 design
Citing industry sources, 91Mobiles shared several images of the Galaxy Buds 3 retail box and appears to confirm that Samsung will include stems in the design of its TWS earphones, a similar element to Apple's AirPods Pro. The box also bears AKG branding, suggesting that Samsung's partnership with the acoustic engineering company will continue.
On the back of the retail box, there appears to be a “Made in China” label, along with various specifications of the TWS earphones. This report corroborates an earlier claim where a user shared a purported screenshot of the Samsung Members app with new headset iconography on social media.
This development also supports the claims of expert whistleblower Evan Blass, who suggested that both the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro could incorporate stems, a design element that has so far been omitted of Samsung's flagship TWS headphones.
Galaxy Buds 3 specs (expected)
The supposed retail box of the Galaxy Buds 3 also hints at its battery life. It is reported to offer up to 6 hours of playback on a single charge. However, the box doesn't mention whether active noise cancellation (ANC) is on or off. If it's the former, it will better the battery life of its predecessor, the Galaxy Buds 2, which promises up to 5 hours of music playback with ANC on.
The Galaxy Buds 3 retail box also claims to offer fast charging functionality, with an hour of playback from just 10 minutes of charging. According to the box, the TWS earbuds will also feature “secure, adjustable ear hooks” and offer sweat and water resistance.
