Tempers flared between Saul `Canelo` Alvarez and Terence Crawford during a recent press conference for their upcoming fight in Las Vegas.
The tension escalated when Crawford walked across the stage and attempted to push Canelo back. The Mexican boxing star responded with a firm shove, leading to a brief physical interaction involving members of both fighters` teams and security personnel in New York.
Crawford displayed a more aggressive stance throughout the press conference, asserting that he is “hunting” Canelo as they prepare to face off for the undisputed super-middleweight world title on September 13.
“I`m just going to keep it real,” said Crawford. “I`m hunting him, that`s it. I`m hunting everything that he`s got and I`m going to take it come September 13.”
Crawford, a champion across four different weight divisions, has stated his intention to inflict a decisive loss on his extremely popular opponent.
“I want all the people in the stands that boo me, they are going to cry when they go home,” he added.

Canelo, also a four-weight world champion, went the distance in his last fight – a points victory over William Scull in May – and has specifically requested a smaller ring for the bout against Crawford.
“You need to put a small ring, a smaller ring,” Canelo stated.
Crawford was quick to retort:
“The only running that I`ll be doing is running upside his head and I can assure you that. Facts, and he`s got a big head too.”
Crawford is moving up by two weight classes to challenge Canelo. His most recent fight was a unanimous decision win against Israil Madrimov at super-welterweight last August.
