“Sister Wives” Janelle Brown‘s son Garrison has unfortunately died at age 25.
As you know, Garrison was a regular star on the hit TLC show, often starring alongside his mother and his father Kody Brown. According to preliminary reports, it is believed the young reality star took his own life.
Janelle Brown’s Son Garrison Dies At 25 Of Apparent Suicide
Janelle’s son reportedly passed away on Tuesday in Flagstaff, AZ, where he lived by himself, having moved away from the family home.
Officers responded to Garrison’s home on Tuesday morning following reports of a death. Upon arriving, Garrison was declared dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Authorities say that Garrison’s brother Gabriel was the one who found his lifeless body. No foul play is suspected at the time of this writing and there is no word on whether a suicide note was left behind. However, an investigation is already underway to get to the root of the unfortunate death.
Late Garrison was the fourth of Kody and Janelle’s five children. He appeared on the hit reality show that details the polygamous life of his father. Just last year, his mother, alongside two other wives — Meri Brown and Christine Brown — got divorced from Kody and exited the marriage.
However, as Garrison grew older, he decided to forge a separate path and enlisted in the National Guard. He also moved out of the family house during the COVID-19 pandemic and bought his Arizona home in 2021.
Garrison’s unfortunate passing comes just a day after his mother shared the news of a cancer scare. Janelle shared a picture of her face, showcasing a lump on her lip, as she revealed,
“I had a basal cell carcinoma removed right after Covid. I go in annually to have a head to toe check. Today I had 2 pre-cancerous spots frozen and a tiny lump removed from my lip. Yes it’s a pain to schedule the appointment when you are busy. And yes there is a small amount of discomfort. But 2 pre-cancerous spots stopped in their tracks. Worth it.”
Janelle has yet to address the painful passing of her son. Neither has Kody Brown or the other Sister Wives.
Garrison Brown Welcomed A Family Member Days Before His Death
Five days ago, Garrison shared his last post. He informed fans that he had welcomed a new rescue cat into his home. Alongside a mirror selfie of him snuggling the feline, he wrote:
“Newest edition to my home, Ms Buttons. She’s 9 years old and was on the line for euthanasia but my savior complex couldn’t suffice. #crazycatlady.”
Ms Buttons joined Garrison’s two other cats, Catthew and Patches O’Houlihan. He was a proud cat dad and never shied away from documenting his adoration for his pets to his 66,000 followers. Following the news of his passing, many gathered in the comments section to pay their respects.
One fan wrote, “I’m so sorry you were hurting. Praying for your mom and your siblings and for Christine. ❤️🙏🏼,” while another penned, “Sweet Robert, you were an incredible soul. I don’t want to believe what they are reporting. Sweet boy, you will be missed.”
Another emotional comment read, “My heart breaks for all of the pain you must have been in. Sending healing vibes to your family. This world will miss you. RIP 🕊️ 💔.”
