It is much easier to romanticize the past than to enjoy the present. And when it comes to the 2010s, we have messy youth culture, the early days of social media, sassy indie, and of course, the It Girls to look back on fondly.
In a recent interview with british vogue, 2010s It Girl turned pop star and new mom Suki Waterhouse joins the nostalgia. “Didn't you feel that there was an energy that is a bit lost now?” she said. “Everything has become so clean. You'd look at all of us and think, 'Oh, they are in reality having fun.'”
Waterhouse launched her modeling career when she was just a teenager. He soon became a fixture of nightlife in London and beyond, partying with Cara Delevingne and Bianca May Jagger, hanging out with the likes of Miles Kane, Diego Luna and Bradley Cooper, and amassing an enviable collection of vintage clothing. But these days, Waterhouse has turned her attention to acting, her music career and her new baby with fiancé Robert Pattison. Notably, Waterhouse gave birth to her first child, as well as her latest album, Memory of a Sparklemuffin, the same week; just over a month later, he performed at Coachella. While her priorities might have changed, energy is one thing Waterhouse is definitely not lacking for.
