Hello again, Wisconsin! It's been over a year since we said goodbye to the new generation of Point Place teenagers, but luckily we won't have to wait much longer to return to Forman's basement with the rest of the gang. That 90's show Season 2. Netflix announced today that Season 2 will premiere in two parts, the first on June 27, followed by the second on October 24. Accompanying the news of the two-part release was the first trailer for the season, which gave us a sneak peek. what to expect when Leia (Callie Haverda) revisit Red (Kurtwood Smith) and Kitty (Debra Jo Rupp) for the summer.

The trailer opens with Kitty, Gwen (Ashley Aufderhide) and Jay (Mace Colonel) arguing over who will hug Leia first when she arrives, only for Red to beat all three of them. Also here, ready for a summer of fun, is the rest of the gang: Ozzie (Rey Doi), Nate (Mason Acee Donovan) and Nikki (Sam Morelos). While it all looks like classic season one-style fun, the huge cliffhanger we left off with will no doubt be hanging over everyone's heads, even as they try to pick up where they left off.

The official synopsis for the first part of season 2 shows plenty of friendship and relationship drama for the gang, reading:

It's 1996 and Leia Forman returns to Point Place for another summer of fun with her friends and grandparents, Kitty and Red. Leia and Jay are excited to be back together after nine months of long distance. But he's ready, as Jay still doesn't know that he almost kissed Nate. Nate is worried that his girlfriend, Nikki, doesn't know either. How long can they keep this secret? Turns out it's not very long. And when the truth finally comes out, relationships are threatened, friendships are on the line, and summer is about to end before it even begins.

Who else is on the second season of “That '90s Show”?

Season 2 will see the return of That 70's show starring Laura Prepon as Leia's mother, Donna, and Andrea Anders as Nate and Gwen's mother, as well as special guest stars Don Stark i Tommy Chong who played Bob and Leo in the original series. It also features special guest stars Will Forte, Seth Green, Lisa Loeb, Carmen Electra, Wayne Knight, Kevin Smith, Jason Mewes, Matt Rife i Kadeem Hardison. No word yet on whether any other stars from the original series will appear, though it doesn't seem likely at this stage.
