'The Boys' Season 4 Isn't Out Yet and We Already Have an Update on Season 5

For TV project creators, it's always nice to see faith in your work. For the boys showrunner Eric Kripke, is a very similar story. The fourth season of the boys is not yet released, however, the top managers of Amazon Studios are very convinced of its success, the show has already been renewed for a fifth season. No official release date has been announced yet, but given the gap between previous seasons, a potential release in 2025 or 2026 seems likely. the boys Season 4, though, yes will premiere on June 13 on Prime Videoand as we look forward, Kripke reveals that the Season 5 writers' room has already been convened.

Speaking about the possible routes the show's characters could take next season, Kripke revealed a ScreenRant that he wasn't aware of how Season 5 would likely pan out. with the writers room is only a month oldKripke revealed that the progress of the season is still “very raw“ and suggested that some “crazy shit“ was on the way Kripke's comments say:

“Not even me. I mean, we're about a month into the writers' room right now, so we've got some really cool ideas. It's a very raw, lava-like deal right now. It hasn't hardened into anything. but I'm excited, I think some shit's been talked about, that's for sure.”

Without looking too far ahead, season 4 of the boys will follow critically ill Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), who has discovered a man-made virus that has the ability to kill supers. The Killer virus that targets Supes would be familiar to fans of the boys derived series, Gene V. The appearance of the virus coincides with that of Homelander (Anthony Starr) efforts to irritate and radicalize their extremist supporters to pursue their agenda of supreme supremacy. Next season It will also feature the intensification of the conflict between Butcher and Homelander Ryan (Cameron Crovetti).

An ominous father-son relationship is coming

While Homelander's feud with Butcher over Ryan will intensify this season, that doesn't mean Homelander and his son won't have a good relationship, too. Ryan, the biological son of Homelander and Becca Butcher, (Shantel VanSanten) spent most of it his life hidden and under Vought's protectionand looking ahead Starr has dire prospects for the father-son relationship. Speaking of Ryan and Homelander, Starr revealed:

“How is Homelander dealing with parenthood? I think it's an interesting thing. I just recently realized how selfish he is with all of this. I've always seen it as a desperate need for connection and all that. But really this season, if you look at it through a lens, it's very selfish of the legacy and what he wants his son to be, and it's a very controlling way.
There's a lot of genuine love, but it's really mixed with some horrible parenting choices.
Father of the year will never be, but he is interesting to watch and very good. What he does is really interesting
it really puts Ryan in an interesting position where he approaches Butcher, and there's a lot of danger around that.
There's a lot of danger for him around that, so it's an interesting season.”
