A fan's question about Hayden Christensen's performance in the Ahsoka series resulted in some surprising and humorous revelations from Lanter, who may have his own War of the galaxies credentials questioned by the most ardent members of the fan base!

A fan asked Lanter how it felt to see Christensen base his performance Ahsoka in Anakin's animated version of The Clone Wars, and whether Lanter had spoken to Christensen about it. Lanter replied with a smile.

“I'm sure he did a wonderful job.
I haven't seen it yet.
The biggest news of the convention! You know what, I want to see it, but I really want to experience it. And my wife too. And so it's that thing where we both can't find the moment where we're like, “OK, I can do that.”
We want to experience it. So it hasn't happened yet.
I've seen the memes and a lot of people have asked me about it. So I know.”

Lanter's good-natured admission drew laughs from the audience, as he continued to express his appreciation for the crossover between the animated series and live-action: “It's an honor for them to take a little. Clone Wars influence on live action. I don't know what to say other than that. It's an honor, I think it's wonderful for the fans and for the fandom because it becomes more cohesive. And it really cements this season of Anakin's life into what's going to happen next.”

Reflecting on the character's development, Lanter added:

“The first few seasons especially were very different from what we saw in the movie. He's a hero.
We heard he was a hero, we didn't see it, but we see it
like, oh, is that different? This is different. But no, he's just in a different season of his life. And that's really rewarding to see.”

The discussion highlighted the unique link between animated and live-action depictions of Anakin Skywalker, and how storytelling in The Clone Wars has influenced the wider War of the galaxies universe, while Lanter's playful and heartfelt answers underscored the joy and connection that both actors and fans share in watching these beloved characters evolve.
