TV

The last of us second season comes in 2025 and, much to our chagrin, will have fewer episodes than the first season. There will be seven chapters; however, showrunners and directors Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann threw some good news into the mix as well. First of all, one of the episodes will be quite long, which means we will still have a lot of story. Secondly, The last of usThe potential third season will be “significantly larger” with a wider scope. There is so much potential storytelling that a possible fourth season The last of us it could be a reality. We love to hear that.

Here's what Mazin said Limit date about The last of us Second Season Episode Count:

“The story material that we got from Part II of the game is a lot more than the story material that was in the first game, so part of what we had to do from the beginning was figure out how to tell that story through the seasons. When you do that, you look for natural breaking points, and as we came up with, this season, the national breaking point seemed to come after seven episodes.”

And here are his thoughts on future seasons of The last of us:

“We don't think we'll be able to tell the story even in two seasons [2 and 3] because we're taking our time and going down interesting paths that we also did a little bit in Season 1. We think almost certainly, as long as people keep watching and we can keep making more TV, Season 3 will be significantly bigger. And indeed, the story may require Season 4.”

We're looking forward to continuing Ellie and Joel's apocalypse story.
