At the very end of the Sept. 21, 2023 episode of “The Young and the Restless,” viewers were surprised to see a tribute to Billy Miller. The short clip, which begins with the words “In Loving Memory,” shows the actor smiling in some of his best moments as Billy Abbott on the show. It’s 11 seconds of moments that will certainly help fans remember him at his best. The video was shared on the show’s social media feeds with the message: “To end today’s episode, we paid tribute to a greatly missed member of the Y&R family. Billy Miller will forever be in our hearts.”
It goes without saying that many “The Young and the Restless” fans were touched by the tribute. Some took to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, to write messages such as: “Thank you for doing this beautiful tribute. He was so loved by the fans. It really hurts. My heart goes out to his family and friends and to his YR family that I know is hurting.” Another wrote, “I almost lost it at the end of Y&R when I saw this today. Proud of the show for honoring Billy Miller. Gosh, what a beautiful smile. You sweet darling, I am so sorry the pain was unbearable. You are missed.“
