This ‘Picard’ Star Is Trading Space for the Prairie in New Romantic Western

Hollywood has set its sights on another novel to adapt. This time, the producers AE Productions, Inc. and Nova Vento Entertainment secured the adaptation rights Where the Wind Blowsa best-selling author novel Caroline Fyffe. The cast will be led by Michelle Hurd (Star Trek: Picard) i C. Thomas Howell (SEAL team) and an expected release window has yet to be announced.


Hurd is a prolific actor who has starred in several high-profile titles such as the hit Netflix movie. Inheritancelast year's hit romantic comedy Anyone but you and TV shows like blind spot i reckless. Aside from starring in SEAL Team, Howell has been in the cast of other shows like The walking Dead, criminal minds, Bosch i animal kingdom. Recently, he has starred in short-lived Netflix series deleted and movies like old parents i Because we are family.

Howell and Hurd join previously announced Trevor Donovan (The CW 90210) i Ashley Elaine (Mayberry Man: The Series). In the story, a cowboy and a tramp (Donovan) who thinks he's done with romantic relationships meet a woman who turns his world upside down. Over the course of three days, the couple will experience all kinds of emotions and discover that there are many ways to fall in love.



'Where The Wind Blows' is in very good hands

Fans of the popular novel will be delighted to know Where the Wind Blows is being adapted for the screen by the same author. Fyffe co-wrote the screenplay with Mike Maden (Continuum) i John Schimke (Games that went wrong). Aside from writing the screenplay, Schimke is also attached to direct the adaptation. Filming of Where the Wind Blows will begin this summer in Montana.

Best-selling romance novels are a pretty safe bet for production companies. Not only because the audience never gets tired of love stories, but also because these types of novels tend to have huge fans who always show up to support their favorite stories. In recent years, many romance adaptations have become part of pop culture, from titles like Pride and Prejudice to more recent adaptations such as Red, White and Royal Blue, The kissing booth, me before you, The notebook and many, many others.
