Celebrity and beauty brand partnerships are nothing new. But while most stick to serving as the face of the brand’s advertising campaigns only, TruSkin tapped Disney actress and singer Kylie Cantrall to curate a skin care kit for consumers to try out. What’s In The TruSkin x Kylie Cantrall Kit?
Launched in November, the limited-edition TruSkin x Kylie Cantrall Kit includes the brand’s Vitamin C Serum, Rose Water Toner, and Soothing Cleansing Milk. “We wanted it to be fun and not [make] skin care seem so serious and seem like you have to have a crazy regimen,” Cantrall said during an Instagram live with TruSkin. “It doesn’t have to be complicated.” Involved in everything from selecting the products to designing the holographic packaging, Cantrall’s set can serve as the base of your skin care routine, with products that can be mixed and matched for use throughout the day.
TruSkin Vitamin C Facial Serum
TruSkin’s best-selling product, the Vitamin C Facial Serum is also the first product that Cantrall started using from the brand in 2019. The daily serum uses a 20% concentration of vitamin C in the form of sodium ascorbyl phosphate, which is believed to be a more stable form of the antioxidant. In addition to helping protect the skin against sun damage and pollution, vitamin C is also a dermatologist-favorite for its ability to stimulate collagen production and help fade unwanted hyperpigmentation. Suitable for morning and nighttime use, TruSkin also included hyaluronic acid and vitamin E in the formula to make the serum more moisturizing, as well as MSM, a natural source of sulfur that’s believed to have soothing benefits.
But the texture is also a huge part of the serum’s appeal, according to Cantrall. “It’s unlike other serums in that it doesn’t leave your skin super oily or sticky or anything like that,” she said. “It feels almost tightening, which I love, but it’s also so hydrating; and since my skin is naturally on the dry side, I feel like it really locks in that moisture.”

Next up in the TruSkin x Kylie Cantrall Kit is the Rose Water Refreshing Facial Toner, which uses Moroccan rose petals to help hydrate skin. “Usually, in the morning, I’ll just add the rosewater spray to give me a little refresh,” Cantrall says of how she incorporates the multi-tasking spray into her routine. “Something I really love about this spray is yes, it does smell like rosewater, but it’s not too overbearing.” As well as serving as a hydrating treatment that can be misted onto your skin throughout the day, the rose water toner can also help to calm skin irritation because rose water has anti-inflammatory properties.
TruSkin Soothing Cleansing Milk
And finally, the kit contains the TruSkin Soothing Cleansing Milk, a creamy yet lightweight cleanser that’s suitable for dry and sensitive skin types. Formulated with oat milk, rice milk, and hyaluronic acid, the cleanser works to break down makeup and sunscreen as it soothes. “It’s very light and it’s not like you have to splash your face with water a hundred times to get the foam off,” Cantrall says of the cleanser’s ability to easily take off makeup. “You don’t have to add that extra step of using a makeup wipe or having to use a micellar water,” she adds, “It’s kind of like an instant removal.” While hyaluronic acid and oat milk help with moisturizing the skin (and rice milk helps with brightening the overall skin tone), the cleanser also includes ingredients like olive oil, sweet almond oil, and glycerin to further moisturize and leave skin feeling smooth.
