UFC Champion Who Sparred With ‘World’s Strongest Man’ Eddie Hall Predicts Potential MMA Fight vs. Demetrious Johnson

Demetrious Johnson is widely recognized as one of the premier mixed martial arts fighters ever.

However, the former UFC flyweight champion`s (125lb / 57kg) modest 5ft 3in (160cm) frame leads many to believe he might face challenges against significantly larger opponents, even those with limited fighting backgrounds.

Eddie Hall demonstrated the power of sheer size when the 350lb (160kg) giant easily defeated 28-fight veteran Mariusz Pudzianowski in just 30 seconds during his MMA debut in April.

This performance prompted Demetrious Johnson to consider how he would fare against the 2017 `World`s Strongest Man`.

Tom Aspinall Predicts Demetrious Johnson vs. Eddie Hall Matchup

Interim UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall assisted Eddie Hall in preparing for his MMA debut.

Footage of the two Englishmen sparring went viral ahead of `The Beast`s` MMA debut.

Given this, Aspinall is uniquely positioned to offer an insight into a potential bout between Johnson and Hall.

A producer posed the question: “How many `Mighty Mouses` would be required to defeat Eddie Hall?”

“Honestly, in an MMA fight, I believe you would defeat him,” Aspinall responded, which surprised Johnson.

“No way, man, he`s incredibly big,” the flyweight legend insisted.

Aspinall added: “Yes, but in an MMA context…”

“It`s hard to say. Size is definitely a factor. But if you have a large UFC Octagon…”

What`s Next for Eddie Hall?

Eddie Hall began discussing his next bout immediately after his first one concluded.

The 37-year-old is contractually bound for a rematch with Pudzianowski, though it remains uncertain if it will occur given the lopsided nature of their initial meeting.

Conor McGregor, Dillon Danis, and Francis Ngannou are among the notable figures Hall has mentioned as potential future opponents.

Regardless of who he ultimately faces, fans can anticipate seeing Hall back in the cage before the close of 2025.
